Lee Roy Selmon blends the advantages of a scholarship to football in his family and the benefits of community service. The first family is his youngest of nine children of Lucious the Jessie and Lucious Selmon. The family lived on a farm at Eufala, Oklahoma. He played second in football and was the third brother who were players for Oklahoma. Three of them were All-Americans. Lucious Jr. Dewey & Lee Roy started for one season in 1973. Lee Roy received the Outland & Lombardi Awards for being the best lineman of the USA. He was awarded two championships as well as 31-1-1 during his three years as Oklahoma's starter. Selmon was honored when the National Football Foundation named him as a Scholar-Athlete three times time in 1975. Selmon was awarded a degree from education. Fourth service In the university Lee Roy devoted ten hours each week on volunteer work. In Tampa the Buccaneers, he was a player for the Buccaneers for nine seasons, and eventually became an all-pro. He also began his career in the field of business. In 1988, as an account relations officer at First Florida Bank of Tampa He was a member of the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It was not a surprise when the year 1982 was when the Junior Chamber of Commerce named Lee Roy as one of the 10 young stars across the nation. As a student, Lee Roy was 6-2 and weighs a little over 256 lbs. He was captain of his college team in 1975. In 1993, Roy was a part of the University of South Fla's athletic department as associate director. He has been inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame since 1988. In 1989 the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation awarded their Distinguished American Award, to Mr. Lucious Selmon and his wife. Henry Bellmon, the governor of Oklahoma awarded it.
